Industrial Observatories is the independent research programme of Nomesis S.a.s., a strategic consulting and market research firm founded in 1989. We produce annual radiographies of Italian industrial sectors, based on primary data collected from qualified panels of customers and prospects.
Most industry reports in Italy rely on second-hand data, on opinions collected from companies themselves, or on macroeconomic snapshots. Useful for context, but rarely actionable.
Industrial Observatories does the opposite: we ask companies' customers and prospects how they see the supplier, the competitors, the market. We give participating companies the competitive positioning matrix that their market already knows but they cannot see from inside.
Each observatory is built on direct CAWI surveys delivered to qualified panels. We declare sample size, selection criteria, ATECO sector codes covered, and field period — for every edition.
Participating companies provide inputs (custom questions, customer/prospect lists they themselves contact) and receive outputs (their competitive positioning). They never give us their databases. Our methodology is non-negotiable.
Adhering companies do not write the results. They cannot revise them, suppress them, or block publication. The price of credibility for our reports is the editorial independence of the programme — which is non-negotiable.
